Blackie!!!

Well hello! I know I've been gone for some time now and no real explanation why, I know I'm sorry I've just been busy trying to graduate!!! But I did bring a little something to talk about.

So as it seems black is back?...yeah ya know honestly I hate that saying. It never left its just got cold again and the season of joy and eating are upon us so what's the best thing to wear to help you hide those unwanted pounds??? BLACK!! But fortunately for some they don't need to hide but make a statement can wear black all they want like Ms Rihanna who has been spotted in Paris France for a variety of 2010 spring/summer fashion week fashion shows looking rather dashing in all black.

While Janet Jackson is keeping it classy with a neutral at the Giorgio Armani spring/summer 2010 ready to wear fashion show in Milan. Its really great to see her back on the scene with her head up after her sad lost.

Edge

While doing some research to present to you all I was going through some of my Vogue and I came across these picture that I just thought "wow American Vogue would definitely never do articles like this or ad's at that." I'm sure your thinking well duh! But what could I possibly be talking about? Well if you must know, Dominic Jones of course, a new up and coming jewellery designer from London has seem to have caught the eyes of many including the fashion diva herself miss Rihanna. With not only selling jewellery to A class celebs he has landed in 8 renown fashion magazines already. He has even manging to catch the eye of one of my all time fave magazine ,Vogue. He's expected to launch his line in the states and Europe sometime this September so be on the look out!I must say that I love the fact that with his jewellery it can be played both ways when accessorizing you can dress it with something soft and give it a little edge or go straight for the edgy look and just enhance it. With his edgy touch and unique one of kind pieces I feel that Mr. Jones will be around for a very long time with much more to give. If interested in buying his items he can be found at http://www.dominicjonesjewellery.com/

Over nighter

So wasn't it like a over night thing when we all of a sudden heard about kanye west girlfriend Amber rose?! Well of lately Ms.Rose has definitely been doing her thing in the fashion industry from modeling for Celestion for New Yorks fashion week to becoming the new face for' Boadicea', the victorious new up and coming fragrance line by Micheal Boadi. I must say I personally haven't been a very big fan of hers but she is definitely doing her thing and i love the pic.

Simplicity

I know I've been an absentee for the past few days, but with playing catch up you tend to forget how much you really have on your plate and certain things are pushed back. But do know I have been thinking about this site all day...lol.

While i was away I came across this lovely Vogue cover. It always seem that the covers over seas are s alluring and just plan astounding. I love the creative team behind the magazine. Its been a dream of mine to one day hopefully soon to work with Vogue as an journalist and doing fashion editorials. ah what a dream and reality it will soon be!

Up & Comming

Hello kiddies! So as my job it is my job to find the hot, exclusive, most unique, memoriable; designers, garments, accesories and looks. I have recently came accross that and more. Tiffany Chanel Baldwin born and raised in Bed – Stuy a senior at Seton Hall University, studying to work in Human Resources. Outside of school she is a currently a stylist at Levis as well as a clothing designer of her own line. Never attending a day of fashion or sewing school, just a gift she naturally inherited, took her gift and formed her own line, Brooke’s Touch. The name Brooke’s Touch actually came about last summer while she was hand making skirts, not sewing. Her first skirt went to a little girl named Brooke. After making it she then realized that her creations represented her personality and her swag. She called the line Brooke’s Touch because her designed were developed mentally and came from her mind straight through her finger tips. When she says the name she likes to say “Brooke’s Touch – Made In Brooklyn - The only place to be original.” She doesn’t want her work to be over looked or looked down but for it to be known for its uniqueness and that it’s not your typical wear that’s hot one day and gone the next, but is here to stay. What inspired her to become the clothing designer that she is was once she realized that she could create without having any limitations, being able to see the design in her mind and bring it to life. When looking at her creations she want you to think Couture, Avant Garde, Original, and out of the ordinary. Brooke’s touch is for people with personality, high confidence and self esteem. This line was made for you to be a show stopper. She is now working on her line getting into a boutique, until then in order to see her newest creation you must go on www.modelmayhem.com/MadeInBrooklyn. Her designs are exclusive one of a kind piece and can only be available if you contact her. To put in an order contact her at nbalsimm@tmail.com.

I came across this hot little online boutique, Les Nouvelles http://www.shoplesnouvelles.com/ have all the whats hot and very much exclusive pieces . Browse pieces from the likes of Issa, Gryphon, and Camilla and Marc. Layer mannequins in slouchy Kain tees, mesh Rag & Bone leggings, and Meredith Wendell belts. I came across a few pieces that were to die for. such as;( Hunting Coat By Rag & Bone) (Zanonna Tux Sheer DressBy By Malene Birger) only set back is, unless you are willing to pay a pretty penny for these lovely pieces you are going to have to do a little more searching for pieces alittle lesser thanthese . But you do get what you pay for and i think its pretty much worth the coast.

1st timer/ L.A.M.B spring 2010

Hello fashion world! So I would like to say thank you for coming to my lovely blog page ChenaultChic. As you can see this is the first post and I'm supper excited to get into this thing and make this a hit!!! yaaaay! exciting right?! well lets get to it.....

Well Kiddies in recent fashion news, Gwen Stefani has recently launched her L.A.M.B 2010 Spring Collection in lovely New York for New York’s Fashion Week. The L.A.M.B ready-to-wear collection was a casual everyday wear of African and eighties pop. Stefani gave the audience a mix of draping, print, pleats, and unique cuts with key silhouettes including off shoulders dresses, tunics, harem pants, and skinny legged jeans. Although there weren’t many colors in this spring collection, she made it work with all of the floral and plaid mixed with black, white, burnt orange and blue. Stefani still manages to give her line that pop factor that continues to draw in customers.
While providing a fashionable line of spring ready-to-wear garments, Stefani showed edgy accessories such as studded handbags and belts. For a hint of elegance she added ankle peeped toe heals, wedges, and strappy sandals. I must say I love the bubble dress in her collection. You can never really go wrong with this silhouette that is made for all shapes and sizes, and great for camouflaging body flaws and accentuating legs. It looks like it’s going to be major hit from Stefani; look forward to the extravaganza of the wild and unique pieces of L.A.M.B
